- Braddy, Kelly
A fellow Spanish hall member, Kelly is also my eat-at-Han's partner (that's the new on-campus Chinese restaurant) and a fun, peppy, random person. That's random in the best sense of the word!
- Brown, Pauletta
Pauletta was a fellow Aycock denizen, and she's also one of the sweetest people I know on campus. (And that's saying something!) It's always fun running into her around campus, as I often seem to do!
- Cheung, Kevin
Kevin was my next-door neighbor in Aycock, with whom I ordered takeout Chinese. He's also an enthusiastic Star Trek fan...now I just have to get him hooked on Doctor Who!
- Crossman, Josh
A fellow Cambridge member, Josh is an amazingly energetic, upbeat and funny person, plus he has a page with a great message.
- Essiger, Chris
Chris is a friend of mine from the German hall, always friendly and outgoing. He started to rush the Spanish hall with me, but in the end decided not to. Baaaad Chris. *grin*
- Ivosevic, Jovan
Hailing from the land of Serbia, my friend Jovan is a French hall member, and he used to live exactly across from me at the other end of the hall. It certainly made saying hi easy!
- Kim, Cabin
Cabin is a very warm and pleasant person, and I enjoy his company a lot. He's also my connection to the psychology department, so I enjoy picking his brain about that!
- Navidomskis, Matt
Matt is better at Spanish literature than I will ever be, but I forgive him. ;> Matt was another sufferer of Spanish 111 (see Shirley, Melanie) and he also has a great last name (see Nygaard, Melissa).
- Nygaard, Melissa
Melissa's pleasant and witty personality makes her a joy to know. She's also got a whole lot of really nice sweaters. And a cute cat (at home, that is). And a great last name!
- Rachapudi, Sumita
Sumita is a very silly friend of mine from India, with a penchant for rainbow-hued nail polishes, a wonderful sense of humor, and a great disposition. Now we get together every Sunday to watch The X-Files!
- Samuel, Sam
Another very silly friend of mine, Sam is eminently level-headed...but there's a mischievous streak in there, too! She's also a member of the Christian
a capella group on campus, and boy, can she sing!
- Shirley, Melanie
Another sanguine! Melanie lived almost directly below me in Aycock, and she is another of the sweetest people on campus. Always bright, bouncy, a joy to be around and a wonderful friend! Plus she helped me survive Spanish 111.
- Sills, Jennifer
This ordering worked out well, as Jenn is Mel's roommate! I see Jenn a lot around campus this year, which is great fun. A lot like Jenn herself! (great fun, that is!) Maybe we'll actually manage to get in a psycholinguistics class together one of these days.
- Swanwick, Dan
Another guy entranced by linguistics (yay, we exist!). Dan was in the first linguistics class I took at Duke, and I've a feeling he's going to be in most of the others, as well! And it's about time I added him to this section.
- Wang, Daniel
Daniel's a longtime friend now attends Duke with me. I'm pretty thrilled about it! He would also beat me to pieces at racquetball, if I ever played him.
- White, Tristan
Tristan lived a short way down the hall from me in Aycock, and is taking some excruciating-sounding engineering classes. Nevertheless, he maintains his great attitude and friendly demeanor.
- Williams, Colin
Colin is a really good friend of mine in the language dorm. He's a Chinese hall member. A very pleasant and easygoing guy, and remarkably well-travelled. His page is, uh, kinda blank right now...but that will change! (Right, Colin?)
