Megalomaniac of the Week: Kroagnon

Story: Mel is hankering for a swim, and since the TARDIS pool was recently jettisoned, she persuades the Doctor to take her to Paradise Towers, a luxurious apartment complex. Mel is eager to arrive, but when the TARDIS finally lands, she and the Doctor find that things have changed. Paradise Towers has become severely run-down, with rubbish piling up in the corners and graffiti covering the walls.

Three groups of people inhabit the Towers - gangs of teenaged girls called the Kangs who play games of conquest through the corridors, the Caretakers who try to apprehend them while following their rulebook literally, and the Residents with their suspicious eating habits. And then there is the mysterious presence in the basement which seems to be using the cleaning machines to pick off members of each group for its own purposes.

Mel and the Doctor are soon separated. While the Doctor must elude the Caretakers and win the trust of the Red Kangs, Mel and her new friend Pex - the self-appointed protector of Paradise Towers - attempt to make it to the pool on the 304th floor. But with killers lurking in every shadowy corner, and the return of the Towers' insane architect, Kroagnon, will anyone in Paradise Towers be able to survive?
