Story: Mel is thrilled when she and the Doctor win a trip to Disneyland, 1959, by being the ten millionth customers at a space tollport. The Doctor is less than thrilled when he discovers the trip is being run by the notorious Nostalgia Trips company, but he agrees to it for Mel's sake. As the Nostalgia Trips spaceship, disguised as a tour bus, is about to depart, an unexpected passenger jumps on board. Her name is Delta, and she is a Chimeron.

Not just a Chimeron, but the last of the Chimeron, and their queen. Her people have just been wiped out by Gavrok and his feared band of warrior Bannermen, and Gavrok is in pursuit of her. The Doctor is able to rescue the Nostalgia Trips bus from plummeting to Earth after it runs into an orbital satellite, but instead of Disneyland, the group ends up in south Wales.

Mel is determined to enjoy herself at the dreary-looking holiday camp, but Delta is on edge, knowing that soon the Bannermen warfleet will track her down. Desperate to protect her newborn daughter, she enlists the help of the Doctor and Mel, along with young mechanic Rachel - or Ray - and her unrequited love Billy. And even if Delta can escape the ruthless Bannermen, will the Chimeron race be able to survive?
