The famous Psychic Circus boasted a number of talents as members of its entourage, but perhaps the most unusual of these was its army of robotic clowns. Built and maintained by Bellboy, the lifelike androids were used to perform impressive stunts in between acts. Their amazing co-ordination and astounding acrobatics kept the audience entertained and proved to be a good foil for the Ringmaster. While they were presumably programmed to perform these feats, they could also be controlled by a device created by Bellboy.
The Chief Clown of the circus, however, is not an android. Until the Circus arrived on Segonax and was commandeered by the Gods of Ragnarok, he was a wonderful, funny, inventive and extremely talented clown. Under the command of the Gods, the Chief Clown becomes almost a hunter, watching out for himself while luring others to their deaths in the ring. This is usually accompanied by a broad smile and a sinister wave of the hand. While superficially, his mannerisms seem innocent, upon deeper inspection they are far more frightening. When he smiles, he looks almost maniacal, and his laugh sounds psychotic.
The Chief Clown is also able to control the robot clowns, apparently without even needing to use Bellboy's technology. The robot clowns can stalk their prey - for example, people who have escaped from the circus' "waiting room" - and capture or even kill them with their bare hands or the spiked clubs they wield.
