The Destroyer is a blue-skinned demon with sharp teeth and big horns. Otherwise known as the Lord of Darkness or Eater of Worlds, it is said to be from Hell, although as its method of entering our dimension is the same as Morgaine's, it is probably just from another dimension as well. The Destroyer's prime motivation is hunger: when released on a planet, it devours that world. The moment it is free, it begins to drool copiously, suggesting that its hunger is intense and immediate. It seems to go about destroying the world by beginning at the spot where it is, and making bits of the world go up in great puffs of green smoke.
It does not seem to have any magical ability, although it can break through strong enchantments (like a chalk circle) which Morgaine cannot, and it can use the green energy that crackles between its hands like a weapon. It can also allow people access to an interstitial vortex, although whether or not it has the ability to create these vorteces is unknown.
The one thing that can hold back the Destroyer is silver. Silver bonds burn it, and keep it helpless, unable to break free without being released. When bound, it desperately wants to be free so that it can go back to devouring world after world. In the end, silver proved to be the Destroyer's swift undoing, as the Brigadier pumped it full of silver bullets, causing it to explode in green smoke.
