The Kandyman, chief executioner for Helen A on the planet Terra Alpha, is made up of a metallic skeleton covered by candies which appear to be huge humbugs and liquorice allsorts. Despite being basically robotic, he apparently has an organic brain which possesses a ruthless intelligence. He also possesses a dangerous mental instability, and has been characterized as "schizophrenic obsessive". The Kandyman's creative streak leads him to develop a variety of unusual execution methods, of which his favorite seems to be drowning in various flavors of fondant.
The Kandyman was created by Gilbert M, who seems to be the one person with the knowledge to repair him should anything go wrong. Therefore, no matter how much the Kandyman is irritated by Gilbert M, he is prohibited from harming him.
Because of his sugar-based body, the Kandyman is susceptible to being melted by heat or citric acid. A liberal spritzing of lemonade on his feet is sufficient to immobilize him.
