Among the relics brought back to England from Sutekh's tomb are several large mummies kept in sarcophagi. These are Sutekh's service robots, made of a white wire frame that encloses a coppery metal skeletal structure, some kind of visual scanner and a variety of other components, all wrapped up in bindings that are chemically impregnated to protect the robots against damage and corrosion. These bindings are removable, and the wire frame is apparently large enough that a human can fit inside it and passably imitate one of the mummies. Horus also utilizes robotic mummy servants, called the Guardians of Horus, but his are marked with some gold wrappings.
On the backs of the mummies are red, pyramid-shaped crystals. These are receivers for the cytronic power which the robots draw from the cytronic particle accelerator in Sutekh's prison. Due to his telepathic link with the robots, Sutekh's servant can control them simply by giving them commands (they bow to signify their understanding); for everyone else, a slave relay is needed. This takes the form of a scarab ring with a large green gem which blinks and sends a signal to the robot, at which point it will respond to commands in at least Arabic and English.
The robots are useful for a variety of tasks: they can search for people, remove bodies, carry dangerous objects, smash anything that threatens Sutekh's objectives, and build large objects. They can also kill people, in a variety of ways - owing to their great strength, they throttle people with ease, kill them with a chop to the neck, or two mummies can gang up on one victim and crush him to death between them. They are not very quick-moving, tending to lumber about more than anything, but they are extremely persistent.
