Doctor, where are we going? * Adric whines Your Majesty honors the orange peel by feasting upon it. Now lets see - who are my companions? This randomizer in the TARDIS teleporter is driving me crazy! Hmmm - ah - Adric! I'm hungry. When are we going to eat, Doctor? Eat? Why do we need to eat? Didn't we eat yesterday? * FruitFly8 suddenly feels a bit tingly * FruitFly4 rubs its front legs together Doctor... I'm a growing boy. Yes - growing outward, not upward or inward. * FruitFly8 realizes he is ravenous * FruitFly8 zooms into Adric's orange and starts feasting wildly Mmmm, Your Majesty, that fruit peel certainly looks delicious. Cut the chatter. Let's get to the grub, my drone. * QueenFruitFly feeds * FruitFly8 zooms back out of the orange, feeling sated for the moment Why not eat some fruit? There's plenty in the TARDIS stores. * QueenFruitFly eats * FruitFly8 hears Doctor_8's comment * FruitFly8 buzzes off to alert the Queen ::whining:: Doctor, why do you always make fun of me? I want to go back to E-Space! * FruitFly2 buzzes around and lands on the console * FruitFly4 smells more fruit What is it, FruitFly8? The tall mammal has mentioned an abundance of fruit in the area. I suggest that we follow them to discover the location of this treasure trove! Making fun? No, I'm not making fun of you. Lets go and see what we can find. * Adric gets another orange and starts peeling it, dropping peelings on the floor * Dodo comes back, still feeling rather woozy And do stop polluting the corridors of my ship! * FruitFly4 spots the fresh peelings and cannot contain itself * Doctor_8 sees his other companion in the corridor Ummm - ah. Adric - what is her name? * FruitFly8 does a couple loops around Adric's head, then heads off to perch on the reading chair * FruitFly4 swoops past Adric's ear and follows the peels nnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyowwwww! Doctor, where are all these nasty bugs coming from? Bugs? Probably left here by Paul Cornell. * Dodo sways * Adric slaps at a fruit fly * FruitFly4 evades the swatting hand * Dodo falls onto the Doctor * FruitFly2 sees the orange peels on the floor and zooms closer * Doctor_8 catches Dodo [BenJ, aka QueenFruitFly, departs temporarily, and the character never returns] Dodo! That's your name! What's the matter? I don't feel so good, Doctor. Let's get you to the infirmary. * FruitFly8 feels tingly again * Doctor_8 carries Dodo to the infirmary * FruitFly8 sees more orange peels on the floor, but realizes he isn't hungry for that any more * Dodo starts crying Hmm - I should get a Doctor to look at you, Dodo. Oh, Dodo, you're such a GIRL... getting sick just from swallowing a bug! Adric, I am not a girl. I happen to be Dodo Chaplet. She swallowed a bug? * FruitFly8 launches from off the reading chair and zooms around the control room, looking for something that he fancies Like the bugs we've seen around here? Yes, one of those little annoying ones that are hanging around the orange peels. * FruitFly8 realizes that Dodo actually looks quite tasty. * FruitFly2 grabs a peel and tries to carry it away * FruitFly8 spirals toward Dodo's shoulder and takes out a chunk - well, to it, anyway * Doctor_8 slaps at the fly on Dodo's arm * FruitFly8 heads off into a dark corner to digest his meal * Dodo swoons * Dodo falls into a coma Look - I'll see about getting you a Doctor. * Dodo is unconscious You are a Doctor, Doctor! FruitFly2, be careful or the big creatures will spot you! * FruitFly2 drags the peel to FruitFly8 and shows him * FruitFly8 is impressed with FruitFly2's strength * Doctor_8 races to the console room, coatflaps flailing out behind him in a very Wonka-like fashion * FruitFly4 helps FruitFly2 to feed their Queen * Dodo violently shudders * FruitFly4 stands guard by the Queen and the peels * Adric whinges * FruitFly2 sees FruitFly8 has something tastier and buzzes around Dodo * Dodo is breathing heavily * FruitFly8 buzzes to the others to follow, and leads them through the corridor after the Doctor * FruitFly2 follows * FruitFly4 and QueenFruitFly bring up the rear of the fly formation There are bugs everywhere, Doctor! Uh-oh, we've been spotted, fellow flies! Bugs? Yes - I guess there are. Get some of that Loyhargil bug spray from the last episode. Or should that be story? Depends on whether one is English or not. No! Don't touch that Loyhargil! * FruitFly2 hears the words "bug spray" and hides in Doc's hair * Doctor_8 sets co-ordinates for San Francisco, 2000 Get ready to scramble if necessary! * Adric follows the Doctor * FruitFly8's eyes gleam redder as he nips at Adric's upper arm * Adric locates FruitFly8 and looks closely at him Hello, bug? * Adric looks very closely at FruitFly8 * FruitFly8 zooms off under Adric's scrutiny * FruitFly8 twirls above Dodo's head Pssst, bug, I could defect and be on your side. I always like to be on the winning side. * FruitFly8 hears Adric but ignores him Ah - we've arrived - good thing, too. * Doctor_8 leaves the TARDIS to find a Doctor * FruitFly8 zooms out of the TARDIS, following the Doctor * FruitFly8 tingles again, and this time feels as though he is getting larger somehow * Doctor_8 goes to a hospital where he hasn't died * FruitFly2 looks out from within the Doctor's curls Hello - is there a Doc Holiday here? * FruitFly4 is envious of FruitFly2... * DoctorZhivago decides that the hospital exterminator is paid too much * DoctorJarvela walks up to Doctor_8 Yes sir, may I help you? * Doctor_8 takes off his wig and beats it on his leg to get the bugs out * FruitFly2 falls out... nMNmmmmmMNMNmmm * DoctorJarvela is rather surprised by Doctor_8's actions Yes - I am looking for a Doctor, my fried Dodo is sick I believe you have the wrong ward...psychiatry is the other direction. Um - which ward is this? This is for patients who are injured. Not mentally. Look! * Doctor_8 grabs Jarvela by the lapels * DoctorJarvela blinks, startled ...sir? In five years time your wife will divorce you for just such an attitude - I need help! I...er...well, yes...let me see what I can do. * DoctorJarvela detaches himself from Doctor_8's grip and scurries off down the hall * Doctor_8 goes over to the waiting room to wait * Dodo is half awake * DrGrace comes around a corner * DoctorJarvela follows DrGrace * Doctor_8 glances at his pocket watch, lounge clock, neighbor's wrist watch, and any other watch available * Dodo is mumbling Excuse me, sir? * Doctor_8 hops up Doctor Holloway is free at the moment. Doctor Puccini! I know you! * DrGrace looks at the Doctor in shock Doctor! * DoctorJarvela is confused Excuse me? * Doctor_8 takes Grace warmly by the hand and shakes But... * DoctorJarvela shrugs - he's obviously been spending too much time in the medical journals Doctor Holloway, I'll leave this man in your care. Thank you, Doctor - she will suffice. * DoctorJarvela leaves Grace - I need you to help my friend Zoe. No - not Zoe. Um, Tegan. Zoe?? No, not Tegan, Ace. Or is it Big Bird? * DrGrace looks at the Doctor in confusion No - wait, it's Dodo! * DrGrace takes the Doctor by the arm Are you still having problems? Wait - no - we need to help Dodo! * Doctor_8 pulls Grace toward the hospital exit Doctor, wait...where are we going? We need to get to the TARDIS. Dodo is unconscious in the TARDIS. There is a dodo in the TARDIS... We need to help her. * DrGrace nods uncertainly and runs behind him * Doctor_8 arrives in the room with Dodo There she is, Grace - help her. I must find Adric. I wonder if he's found the bug spray yet? * DrGrace races in and almost collides when he stops up short * Adric sits back in the TARDIS, swatting impotently at fruit flies, whining * Doctor_8 leaves the room in search of Adrip, I mean Adric * DrGrace notices all the fruit flies What is with all these flies??? * FruitFly8 smells a fruitish cologne on Grace and swoops to bite at her cheek * DrGrace swats at the fly * DrGrace goes to Dodo and examines her * FruitFly8 zooms around, growing even bigger * FruitFly4 lands on a console button Dodo, can you hear me? * Dodo mumbles ::the bug within Dodo is starting to take over:: ***** Adric - there you are! Doctor, these fruit flies are really annoying. Yes - I've noticed that too. Did you get the bug spray like I asked? No, I couldn't find it. Hmmmm. I was sure it was in the cupboard marked Kitchen Utensils. Did you look there? * FruitFly4 rests quietly on console button, bloated with orange peel * Adric whines * FruitFly5 buzzes around the console, munching on bad fruit remnants Would you stop whining? If you don't I'll sent you 65 million years back and strand you on a condemned space ship! * Adric tries to change sides again Fruit flies! I will tell you the secrets of the TARDIS! * FruitFly5 buzzes around Adric and annoys him * FruitFly5 mocks Adric's haircut as she buzzes around to annoy him * Adric whines Even the insects pick on me. * FruitFly5 won't be content until Adric wears real clothes and not pyjamas * Doctor_8 gives up on Adrip and leaves the room in search of the Loyhargil ***** Dodo, can you tell where it hurts? * DrGrace looks for injuries Belgravia! Belgravia! Hmmm, delirious...no fever either.... * DrGrace notices the bite on her cheek * Dodo is fully taken over by the fruit fly * DodoFruitFly communicates with her fellow fruit flies * FruitFly8 is startled to realize that Dodo is talking to them Fruit flies! Being a human is not fun. * DrGrace jumps back from the bed * FruitFly8 buzzes over and lands on Dodo's ear * FruitFly8 is about as big as a pea now Dodo??? The fruit flies... The fruit flies shall rule... No more swatting! No more swatting! We shall swat you!!! * DrGrace sees that there is something very wrong here Puny female!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! * DodoFruitFly screams * DrGrace backs up through the door Doctor...Doctor... * DodoFruitFly follows Grace * DodoFruitFly bites Grace Bite her, my friends, my fellow fruit flies! * DrGrace screams and wrestles with Dodo * FruitFly8 and the others swarm after DrGrace * FruitFly8 nips Grace on the nose * DodoFruitFly sings a chorus with the fruit flies * DrGrace screams bloody murder * DrGrace swats at the less flies and punches Dodo * FruitFly8 lands on the back of DrGrace's neck * DodoFruitFly vomits all over grace and collapses * FruitFly8 takes a bite and flies away * DrGrace runs down the corridor swatting at flies, covered in vomit * DrGrace heads for the TARDIS * FruitFly8 gives up on chasing Grace and zooms off to find the hospital kitchens...or the kitchen staff * FruitFly8 is beginning to get very hungry now, and realizes he must have food immediately * FruitFly8 spots a cook in the near distance and chomps on him * FruitFly8 polishes off the cook in five seconds flat * FruitFly8 is now as large as a small car * FruitFly8 flies out sideways through an open window ***** * Doctor_8 goes into the kitchen and looks in the cupboard marked Kitchen Utensils Darn! It's gone. * Doctor_8 finds a note where the can used to be * The_note reads: This is a message to the 8th Doctor. I have hidden the Loyhargil from you because I am afraid you will destroy the TARDIS with it. Love, the 7th Doctor * Adric looks for something to eat That meddling fool! * Doctor_8 sits down in a huff and thinks about the problem * Adric finds another orange and starts to peel it * Doctor_8 notices that there are no flies in the kitchen Weird - there is food here, why are they avoiding it? * Doctor_8 sniffs the air of the room Hmm - what did I last make in here? Doctor! Doctor! Where the h*** are you? * DrGrace slows down to a crawl, and staggers weakly Doctor! * Doctor_8 jumps up in a very Wonka-like fashion I have it! * Doctor_8 goes over to the garbage bin and pulls out... Old bologna! * DrGrace stumbles into the kitchen and collapses * Adric spies Grace Hi, Grace, I'm Adric. The Doctor told me all about you (wink, wink) * Doctor_8 passes the old bolonga under Grace's nose and notices her improvement This bologna is so old, it doesn't even have a first name! * DrGrace rallies a bit and then pukes over the Doc's shoes * Adric eyes the old bologna hungrily [Spigi, aka Dodo, drops out] [much silliness abounds involving Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and Mr Bean, among others, and nearly eclipses the roleplay - thus the drop in participation!] Grace - you have ruined my shoes! Doctor...the flies...they are carnivorous...and Dodo...she... she... These shoes! They have spit perfectly on them! * DrGrace passes out Carnivorous flies? Wait til they get a load of this bologna. * Doctor_8 runs through the TARDIS waving the bologna around Take that, you fruit flies! * DrGrace lies on the floor and slowly transforms * Doctor_8 runs out of the TARDIS with the bologna and waves it around the hospital * FruitFly8 buzzes across the countryside until it locates a busy city street * FruitFly8 perches atop a delivery truck and scans the road * FruitFly8 lifts into the air and divebombs a passerby, gulping her down in one swift motion There's no way that this can fail! * Doctor_8 notices the fruit flies all dying * Doctor_8 goes back to Grace * GraceFruitFly rises from the floor and makes her way to the console room Grace! What are you doing? * Doctor_8 waves the bologna in front of Grace Oh no - not more possession! * GraceFruitFly looks up at Doc with a evil leer What? I am taking over...! * FruitFly8 settles atop a roof to digest * Adric wanders into the room, whining * GraceFruitFly looks down at the controls and flicks a few switches Everybody picks on me! * GraceFruitFly sends a message to all the fruit flies to unite * Doctor_8 gives up because his plan isn't working and no one is playing fair anyway, so he regenerates to be in tune with Stephen and Hugh * FruitFly8 hears Grace's signal and buzzes toward her * GraceFruitFly smiles sweetly... * Adric whines "Everybody gets possessed but me. I can't get arrested in this town." [hardly any roleplaying going on at this point...] * FruitFly8 soon finds it can't get through the TARDIS door * FruitFly8 buzzes angrily at the interface * FruitFly8 nearly pushes over the TARDIS' outer plasmic shell in its desperation * GraceFruitFly lets the flies in * FruitFly8 tries telepathic communication with Grace * FruitFly8 gives up and dies * GraceFruitFly screams and collapses as the Fly separates from her body * GraceFruitFly recovers and rises, looking around for Doc8 * Adric goes to the console and starts flipping switches [and so we finally give up *grin*]
