They think it's the line to the bathroom. * Fifth-Doctor steps out of the TARDIS and puts an "Out of Order" sign on the door * _TheRani__ sets up her TARDIS to look like a tent * _TheRani__ notices the line and spots the TARDIS * _TheRani__ knows who's around here somewhere * _TheRani__ goes about picking up people having bad drug trips * Nyssa steps out to go pee in a field * Benny sees what looks like a blue box with people by it * Benny runs to meet the people Come on, Tegan... we don't want to miss Country Joe! <_Tegan_> Coming, Doctor! * _Tegan_ taps the Doctor on the shoulder <_Tegan_> Doctor, how do I look? * Fifth-Doctor looks at Tegan Very appropriate. * _Tegan_ smiles <_Tegan_> Are you sure? * Benny sees the man in a long fawn coat followed by a redhead Doctor! Doctor! Do I know you? Doctor! Not my type, though. * _Tegan_ opens her mouth to comment but changes her mind ***** * _TheRani__ notices _Bad_Acid_Trip_ and goes over to him <_Bad_Acid_Trip_> Wow, man, I'm havin' a bad trip! <_TheRani__> How many fingers, friend? <_Bad_Acid_Trip_> 16! <_TheRani__> You've definitely gotten the brown acid. * _TheRani__ gets some people to put _Bad_Acid_Trip_ on a stretcher * _TheRani__ heads for her tent ***** * Benny leads the Doctor and Tegan over to her tent * _Tegan_ looks down at all of Benny's stuff * Fifth-Doctor notices people spacing out around him So, is this your first time at Woodstock, Doctor? Oh, yes. I've always wanted to come here. I've seen holo-vid reproductions of the event, but was never here. * _Tegan_ glances around at the whacked out people My Doctor didn't take me. The drug use was unfortunate, of course. But the music is quite good. * Benny whispers to Tegan: But he did take some LSD and had a trip that makes all these people look like they're normal! * _Tegan_'s brows shoot up <_Tegan_> The Doctor...and LSD?!? * _TheRani__ notices a young blond fellow with celery in his lapel near her tent * _TheRani__ wonders about that, and the cricket outfit <_Bad_Acid_Trip_> Crazy blue box, man! <_TheRani__> Really, dear? * Fifth-Doctor thinks TheRani looks familiar That's odd... <_Tegan_> Seems like more than just grass going out. * DazedandConfused looks at the man with the yellow suit * DazedandConfused walks up to the man in the yellow suit Hey, man. Are you Tiny Tim? * Benny thinks that the Doctor looks nothing like Tiny Tim * Benny sings "tiptoe through the tulips" * DazedandConfused thought Tiny Tim looked shorter on TV * _TheRani__ takes Bad Acid Trip into her tent * _TheRani__ hooks him up to a machine <_TheRani__> Nighty night, kid. And thanks for telling me about the Doctor. That woman over there keeps taking people into her tent, but no one is coming out. Either it's very, very crowded inside that tent, or something very strange is going on! Doctor - must there always be a mystery? I don't try to find these things, you know. They just seem to happen whenever I'm around. * _Tegan_, distracted, watches the crowd * Benny listens to the music There must be some kind of orgy there or something, man! Thanks for pointing it out! * Benny smiles at the thought of an orgy * DazedandConfused walks over to the other tent * DazedandConfused pokes her head in Wow! It's bigger on the inside than the outside! * _Tegan_ whispers to Benny <_Tegan_> Say, have you tried a joint yet? * Benny raises her eyebrows I've always just said no, myself. * _Tegan_ shrugs casually <_Tegan_> Just a thought, anyway. My Doctor was the same way. * _TheRani__ leaves her tent, looking around * _TheRani__ sees the Doctor coming her way * Groupie hangs around the backstage looking for stars * Benny opens up the blanket and sits on it Tegan - have a seat. * _Tegan_ glances over her shoulder at the Doctor and sees the strange woman * _Tegan_ sits next to Benny <_Tegan_> Really? So he changes but stays the same, huh? Hmmmm? Oh yes, apparently. And his eighth self is just as curious about things. It's incredible to think how much this event affects the future. * _Tegan_ listens He's cute in a tall way like your Doctor here. <_Tegan_> How many of him have you met? So far, four. Well, three. One was just an Aubertide pretending to be him. ***** * _TheRani__ gets between the Doctor and her TARDIS Hello, madam, I was just wondering about your infirmary. <_TheRani__> Really? May I have a look around? <_TheRani__> I don't think that's necessary. I'm quite interested... and you seem to be helping so many people. * _TheRani__ snickers to herself <_TheRani__> Are you a Doctor? Madame, I am THE Doctor. <_TheRani__> Well, why don't you come in and take a look, then? I would be delighted. * _TheRani__ picks up a big rock when the Doctor is turned towards the door * Fifth-Doctor steps into the Rani's tent and immediately knows it was a mistake * _TheRani__ clobbers the fifth Doctor * Fifth-Doctor crumples to the ground * _TheRani__ hauls him to the back of her TARDIS * _TheRani__ also ties him up * Groupie sees the oddly-dressed blonde gentleman sink to the ground and figures it's another victim of the brown acid * _TheRani__ heads back out of the TARDIS. She knows that she's been seen. ***** * _Tegan_ looks around at the crowd Hmmmm. Where's the Doctor? * _Tegan_ motions at the tent <_Tegan_> He was over there. Typical of him to get himself lost. <_Tegan_> Benny, what is going on? * Nyssa returns after peeing in a field Tegan, where's the Doctor? * Nyssa eyes Benny suspiciously <_Tegan_> Nyssa, there you are! Oh, hi. * Benny eyes the newcomer - why are all the Doctor's friends so short? * _Tegan_ introduces Nyssa and Benny * Nyssa bows Nice to meet you, Nyssa. Nice to meet you, Benny. <_Tegan_> Let's look for the Doctor. The Doctor shouldn't be too hard to find. I don't know, Nyssa - everyone here dresses like the Doctor. * Nyssa doesn't see anyone else with a fawn colored frock coat, but will take Benny's word * Benny notices that her irony is lost on most people and makes a note of practicing more * _Tegan_ walks off in the direction of the tent People keep offering me zig-zags. I didn't know what they were so I just said no. That's a good idea, Nyssa. Now where's Tegan going? * _Tegan_ approaches the woman <_Tegan_> Say, excuse me... * _TheRani__ looks over at Tegan, Nyssa and Benny * Nyssa espies a redhead staring at her, Tegan and Benny * _TheRani__ knows they were with the Doctor. She goes back inside her TARDIS and sees if the Doctor is awake * _Tegan_ watches the woman duck into the tent and follows <_Tegan_> Um...hello...excuse me...lady? * Fifth-Doctor is starting to wake up * Fifth-Doctor struggles with his bonds * _TheRani__ walks up to the fifth Doctor <_TheRani__> So, what regeneration are you this time, Doctor? Fourth... and you? * _TheRani__ gets a hold of the Doctor's chin and steadies his head <_TheRani__> Third. You remember me, don't you, Theta? And will you please untie me? This is very rude. <_TheRani__> Not likely, Doctor. You've always tended to bring me bad luck in the untied state. Rani? <_TheRani__> You remembered! It's always nice. I can explain about the time I stood you up. There is no need for this. Please untie me... <_TheRani__> I don't think so, Doctor. I don't think I'm going to give you answers tied up either! <_TheRani__> You might. * _TheRani__ takes out a razor from her lab * Fifth-Doctor purses his lips and decides not to say another word! * _TheRani__ approaches the Doctor <_TheRani__> I do know how to use this, you know. Oh, really. Torture? This is just too much. <_TheRani__> Well, I happen to know more about you in the future. You really deserve this for your next regeneration's clothing sense. ***** * Benny sees a groupie near the tent * Groupie_ sees Benny * Benny moves over to Groupie Hullo there. Can you help us? Sure. What do you need? Benny, have you seen the brown acid? Yes, I've seen it but, like you, have been avoiding it. * Benny turns back to Groupie We're looking for a friend of ours. Everyone is a friend here, sister! * Nyssa whispers at Benny It's not Terran! * _Tegan_ tries to open the tent flap but it won't move * _Tegan_ notices the strange texture and detects a vibration from it * _Tegan_ detects some sort of force field * _Tegan_ heads quickly back to Nyssa and Benny * Benny does a double take Not from Earth? How can it not be from Earth? No. I got some and did an analysis on it in our TARDIS. That's what took me so long. What sort of alien would bring in drugs to Woodstock? * Benny rethinks her statement :to herself: Anyone that's an enemy of the Doctor. And anyway, it's a Trakenite hallucinogen. * Nyssa blushes Alien drugs, cool! Um - sorry, about our friend. He's about so tall, blond, good-looking, wearing light brown and vegetables. Haven't seen him...saw Jerry Garcia, though! <_Tegan_> Nyssa, that is definitely NOT a tent! What do you mean? * _Tegan_ turns to Benny What do you mean, it's not a tent? <_Tegan_> I went to the tent but the flap won't budge... and what's more, I can feel a force field or something. That is odd. Tegan, the brown acid's not Terran! I hope you didn't try any. * Nyssa studies Tegan to make sure she hasn't had any acid * _Tegan_ looks back at Nyssa <_Tegan_> Look, I am not tripping! Come on, I'll show you. * _Tegan_ walks back to the tent So, Nyssa, you are from Traken? Oh, yes, Benny. And I have done all sorts of... tests... on Trakenite hallucinogens. These hallucinogens make people really giddy and then they just go into a stupor for weeks. * Benny thinks about it They also make people a little paranoid. Who'd want a bunch of stupored hippies? Well, whoever's giving out the acid. Wait, I did see some dude like that collapse! * Benny turns back to the groupie Where? Wait, Tegan - this man has seen the Doctor. * _Tegan_ pauses <_Tegan_> Look, I think the Doctor is in that tent. * Nyssa thought that was obvious He's in the tent! Of course, he'd be in the tent that isn't a tent. Probably taking the acid that isn't acid. And as usual I'm on a vacation that isn't a vacation. <_Tegan_> So what are we going to do? ***** <_TheRani__> So, who are your companions? * Fifth-Doctor has been working on the knots that hold his hands, a trick Houdini taught him <_TheRani__> Hum, I've got a better idea. * _TheRani__ goes and gets some brown acid and sticks it into the Doctor's mouth <_TheRani__> That should get you to talk! * Fifth-Doctor spits but can't get it all out * _TheRani__ sits back and waits for the fun * _TheRani__ unties the Doctor * Fifth-Doctor manages to get the knots off his hands, but is starting to feel funny from the drug <_TheRani__> So, who are your companions, dear? * _TheRani__ grabs the Doctor's face and tries to steady him * Fifth-Doctor sees that the Rani is really a Dalek... a red-gold Dalek with candy canes rather than an eyestalk Daleks! There are Daleks here... <_TheRani__> Oh, good grief! Snap out of it, Theta! * Fifth-Doctor charges the Rani and throws his coat over what he thinks is the eyestalk * _TheRani__ is ticked off because she wanted him to talk, not get high * Fifth-Doctor pushes the Rani aside and runs out of the tent * _TheRani__ is knocked down Daleks! There are Daleks here! We must warn everyone! <_TheRani__> Damn, miscalculated this one. * _TheRani__ gets up and follows at a distance Daleks? * Benny hears someone yelling about Daleks and sees the Doctor Well, we could run after him, or just wait for him to go into a stupor. Or we could grab that redhead over there who just ran out of the tent. * _Tegan_ watches the Doctor Monster! You're a monster! * Nyssa doesn't think that anyone would notice his yelling here. <_Tegan_> Nyssa, let's get the redhead! Right. * Nyssa looks for the tent * _TheRani__ decides to split before he figures out what's going on * _TheRani__ gets in the TARDIS and leaves * Fifth-Doctor sees Benny, but sees that she is really a Minervan Blood Slug Kill it, Tegan! You must kill it before it attaches itself to you and sucks all your blood away! * Benny moves over to the Doctor He's taken the drug, it seems. <__HippyChick___> Wow!!! What's he taking? I want some! * _Tegan_ takes a step back <_Tegan_> Now, Doctor...take it easy... No... stay away. We must warn everyone about the Daleks... Daleks with candy eyestalks. Yes, Doctor, of course. * Nyssa can't remember if there's an antidote * Nyssa remembers something about vitamin C * Fifth-Doctor pushes away his companions and stumbles toward the stage where Country Joe and the Fish are just finishing up * __HippyChick___ walks up to the fifth Doctor <__HippyChick___> Do you have any more of what you're taking? * Nyssa looks at HippyChick No, it all went with that tent that just disappeared. * _Tegan_ rushes after the Doctor * Benny follows the tripping Doctor You must run. Close enough, kid. * __HippyChick___ smiles and flashes the peace sign * _Tegan_ backtracks to Nyssa <_Tegan_> Nyssa, the redhead...where did she go? * _Tegan_ sees the tent has disappeared The tent just disappeared. Don't know. They are evil, I tell you. They will kill all that they encounter! Doctor - listen to me - you are on a trip. * Fifth-Doctor sees that the HippyChick has antennae growing from her head * Benny grabs the Doctor to stop him You! You're in league with them! No, I'm not. Doctor, you are fantasizing! Wow, I'd like to have some of what he's been on. * __HippyChick___ goes off toward Groupie <__HippyChick___> Groupie, did you see those guys? They're with the Dr WHO! Dr Who? <__HippyChick___> Groupie, let's go get some medics! * _Tegan_ stands for a moment, at a loss what to do * Fifth-Doctor looks at Benny and sees the blood slug again. I must warn the people! * _Tegan_ grabs the Doctor's swinging arm * Benny punches the Doctor in the cheek * Benny tries Venusian Aikido on the Doctor * Fifth-Doctor struggles but is borne to the ground by the two women * Benny sits on the Doctor's chest No... no... we must act! All right. I'll help you carry him. * Fifth-Doctor starts to get more rational... the drug is wearing off But... but, there can't be Daleks here. It isn't time yet. Yes, Doctor, now you are making sense. The Daleks won't invade Earth for almost 200 years yet. Yes, Doctor, 200 years yet. * Fifth-Doctor is getting a grip * Benny frowns at the thought of Daleks and her mother And you're not a Minervan blood slug... you're Benny, my companion-to-be. Minervan blood slug! Great in gin. * _Tegan_ takes the Doc by the arm Nyssa, can you make an antidote in the TARDIS? We have to find out where the woman in the tent went! Well, we're giving out orange juice. Really, not much you can do for a bad acid trip. Bad acid... whoa, hoopy. Orange juice? That would be nice right now. * Benny realizes she's thirsty * Nyssa remembers something about vitamin C...worse or better? * Medic_1____ gets Medic2 and they take the Doctor to a tent * _Tegan_ follows on their heels * Nyssa thinks to herself that they can't examine the Doctor, otherwise, they'll find out. * Nyssa stops Medic 1 Er... we should take him home. * _Tegan_ sees Nyssa's look of distress I can get an ambulance if we need it. No way, Med2. The traffic is backed up all the way to New York City! * Medic_1____ gives Doctor the juice * Medic_2 helps Medic_1 * Benny has followed the Doctor to the tent Er, where's the bar? * Medic_1____ looks at FordPrefect Man, you taking the brown acid too? You had some of the brown acid. You've taken some Traken hallucinogens. Wait... I remember. It was the Rani... she was here! In a matter of hours, you'll be in a stupor. My physiology will overcome the drug very quickly now that I've regained my footing. * Fifth-Doctor stands up but stumbles * _Tegan_ steadies him * Benny helps the Docor Here, let me help you, Frood. Why is she giving people Trakenite drugs? All I know is that it makes people very high and then they just go floppy for a week. We used them on Traken in our medical wards. The Rani? She's here? Yes... and up to no good. I've had to put up with her schemes before, Doctor. God, why can't she leave Earth alone? She must be trying to kill all the parties, man. <_Tegan_> The Rani? She's a Time Lord, too. * _Tegan_ gently pulls the Doctor along <_Tegan_> Let's go... now! Where'd you hear that name before? Oh, I know it real well, babe. They gave me some lifts a while back. Not real hoopy froods, babe, but useful.
