Careful, Doctor! * ZoeHeriot sighs You did have to land us in the middle of the forest. Ah well, it is lovely. Ah, what bracing country air, Zoe. * CrowTDead looks hideously dead * CrowTDead is all bloody and torn All this is torn down by your century. * Doc6 looks sadly into the distance. When are we? We're in Germany. A somewhat pleasant country. At least, until the terrible trouble they had later. * CrowTDead is starting to stink Yes, I know, I asked you if we could visit. But when? * ZoeHeriot pauses Do you smell something, Doctor? Smell? * Doc6 sniffs. Yes, it's like... * ZoeHeriot scrunches up her nose I don't know what it's like, but it's not pleasant. Of course I smell something! We Time Lords have infinitely more sensitive olfactory glands than you humans. I expected as much. * Doc6 gestures with his umbrella. This way. * Doc6 marches off between the trees. * ZoeHeriot springs lightly off after him * Doc6 stops by an oak tree to take another sniff. That smell's getting stronger. Of course it is! We're getting closer to the source! * Doc6 gazes keenly around the trees, noble chin held high. * ZoeHeriot suddenly recalls something It's like that smell in the Wheel...after the Cybermats killed that poor man. * CrowTDead gazes out of dead eyes Yes, it should be just over there. * Doc6 tramples the bracken. Aha! Aha? * ZoeHeriot catches up to the Doctor and looks Oh no! It looks like this poor fellow is dead. * Doc6 crouches down to look at the body. * ZoeHeriot examines the wound Teeth marks. Rather large ones, from the look of it. * Doc6 looks closer at the bite marks. Did they have many wild animals in Germany? Oh yes, bears, I should think. But these weren't made by a bear. The toothprints are too rounded, not at all like a bear's snout. * ZoeHeriot glances around and sees the man's heart lying several feet away Why would a wild animal leave his heart behind? * ZoeHeriot points That's a very good question. * Doc6 picks up the heart and slips it into his pocket. I should examine that later. * _Hans appears from out of nowhere <_Hans> The Verevolf did it. * ZoeHeriot blinks The verevolf...? <_Hans> Ja, der Verevolf. Werewolf? Oh! Werewolf! A creature of the night. Half man, half wolf, rumored to have been created from the bite of another werewolf. It's just a story. <_Hans> It's nicht ein Story. It's truth. * Doc6 rubs his chin thoughtfully. That would explain this poor man's condition. You don't seriously believe this was a werewolf, do you, Doctor? This is Earth, not Vulpana. Well, it pays to keep an open mind. * CrowTDead looks even more hideous as a beetle craws out of his mouth Oh, look, Doctor. * ZoeHeriot picks up the beetle This species died out centuries ago. Well, yes, it _is_ centuries ago, Zoe. Yes, exactly. Isn't it fascinating? I daresay delicious too. That beetle is a delicasy in some cultures. * ZoeHeriot realizes that the man is staring at them, so she puts the beetle down I'm sorry, I don't believe we've been introduced. I'm the Doctor and this is Zoe. * Doc6 holds his hand out to Hans. * _Hans shakes his hand * ZoeHeriot follows the Doctor's lead How do you do. * ZoeHeriot smiles brightly <_Hans> Tag, Zoe...Herr Doktor. Guten Tag. <_Hans> I'm Hans. Well, Hans, perhaps you could tell us some more about this werewolf? <_Hans> Welcome to the kleine town of Bakerdorf. Ah, a pleasant village. Yes, it's quite lovely. Thank you, Doctor. * CrowTDead bleeds on Zoe * ZoeHeriot grimaces at the bloodstain on her lovely PVC outfit <_Hans> Don't worry, Fraulein. We have some nice lederhosen you can wear. Oh...lederhosen. Thank you, I've always wanted some... * _Hans helps them as well * ZoeHeriot and the Doctor trudge after Hans toward the village * CrowTDead has a band of flies that follow him now ***** * ZoeHeriot notices that they're getting quite a reaction from the townsfolk, carrying a dead body through the streets * German_Townsfolk mumble about the mutilated body. * ZoeHeriot is getting really tired - this body is heavy! * GretaSchwinner stares in disgust at all the flies Should we cover it up with something? An excellent suggestion, Zoe. You don't have a tarpaulin in that costume, do you? * ZoeHeriot grimaces at the Doctor, as she is too tired to come up with a comeback * GretaSchwinner produces a burlap bag and wonders if it will do? What is the meaning of this? * Burgermeister stares at the Doctor, Zoe, and Hans. * Doc6 gratefully takes the bag from Greta and drapes it over the body. There, that's better. *Ahem* * ZoeHeriot looks up at the Burgermeister * ZoeHeriot glances at the Doctor Was ist das? * Burgermeister points to the body. Ah, we can explain this. Our, er, friend was feeling a little tired. * ZoeHeriot doubts the Burgermeister is going to believe that story We're just taking him home. * Doc6 smiles disarmingly. You're all right down there, aren't you, Wilhelm? * ZoeHeriot moves Wilhelm's head in a nod beneath the burlap sack There, you see? Hmmm...you don't look like you're from around here. Where are you from? I'm from the City. Bavaria? Yes...Bavaria. And I'm from... Gallifrey. It's in Ireland. I'm sorry, we really must be going. Die Frau...is going to be very upset if Wilhelm is late. I vould just like a bit of company on such a tragic evening, Herr Burgermeister... * SonOfCrow stalks off in anger Greta, what will my wife say? * GretaSchwinner takes the Burgermeister's hand and leads him into the woods Don't worry about her, Herr Burgermeister. * Bobwerewolf stalks the woods * Bobwerewolf smells hamburger and follows the scent * GretaSchwinner thinks, "soon, he'll have no worries at all..." * GretaSchwinner chuckles quietly to herself * Bobwerewolf runs past a blue box on the way Greta, do you hear a noise? Noise? Hmmm...no, I hear no noise. * Bobwerewolf jumps out at the burgermeister * Bobwerewolf growls at the fat prey * GretaSchwinner calmly walks away, ready to sound the alarm when the werewolf has finished his job. * Bobwerewolf starts to charge towards the fat prey, feels empty motion by the prey and hears gas and backs off * Bobwerewolf jumps on the fat prey before more of his protecting gas can be passed and tears his head off and eats it * BM_RIP is lying on the ground * Bobwerewolf takes what's left of his head and chucks it * GretaSchwinner begins to run as she approaches the village * GretaSchwinner enters the village and begins screaming What is the matter, Greta? Help, someone HELP! It's...it's...THE BURGERMEISTER! * Doc6 dashes out of a cottage. * ZoeHeriot jumps up from where she has been sitting and discussing werewolves with Hans * ZoeHeriot runs after the Doctor, tugging at her lederhosen PLEASE HELP! Quickly, woman. Where?! * GretaSchwinner turns and runs back the way she came * Doc6 sprints after Greta. * ZoeHeriot outpaces the Doctor, unsurprisingly * Clouds_ obscure the full moon. * ZoeHeriot finds it harder to see where she is going * GretaSchwinner smiles to herself, as the villagers and others run along behind her...but the fear returns to her face, as she looks behind her * GretaSchwinner must keep up the appearance of fear and confusion * JackWho runs and sees Greta, a good looking girl and an odd man in a colorful coat Mein Gott, his head vas torn off! Greta, the Burgermeister - his head was bloody gone! Then the bloody thing attacked me, but ran off when he heard you coming. I'm so glad you are safe, Jack. * Doc6 kneels down to examine the body. The werewolf again? Yes, it looks like it. Yes, girl - what, you think vampires? Wrong part of Germany, more south! Jack, you are lucky to be alive! Did the thing wound you? * _Hans looks at Jack Where did it go? * JackWho points to the way he went * ZoeHeriot peers at Jack - the corners of his mouth seem to be dark, but she can't really tell because of the lack of moonlight Have you hurt your lip? * ZoeHeriot touches the corner of Jack's mouth * ZoeHeriot's finger comes away tacky Yes, when the wolf attacked me. Blood. You *are* hurt. You'd better get back to town as quickly as possible. Aye, I will. * Doc6 straightens up. Did you bite your lip or was it from the attack? Never made this mess in London. 'Course, we had the weirdos. * SonOfCrow watches Jack in distrust Your names before I go? Oh, er, I'm the Doctor and this is Zoe. Who, Jack Who. Doctor of what? Dressing? Well, more or less everything. He's almost as clever as I am. I do enjoy salad dressing, of course. Well, I'm off. See ya, Greta. You may speak. * SonOfCrow looks about fearfully That Jack fellow...well, he was wounded by the werewolf... Yes? Now he will become a werewolf, no? I think he must be watched. * Doc6 strokes his chin thoughtfully. I suspected as much. * SonOfCrow displays a silver dagger My father's only treasure. Yes, it's very pretty. I don't really think it will help a victim of lycanthropy, though. The silver is the only thing that can wound the creature. * Doc6 stands up and stretches. Well, shall we go and pay Jack a little visit? Let's go. ***** * JackWho sees Greta * GretaSchwinner doesn't see Jack Greta, we need to talk now. Oh...Jack - I didn't realize you were there. Of course. Listen, I've killed two of these bloody German bastards and I'm still changing. I mean, eating hearts is sick! What do you propose - a dietary change? You get any idea who the wolf who made me is? No idea, Jack. And that Doctor looks like trouble. Maybe you should concentrate on him, then...or on avoiding him? And I know he lives in this village. It is dangerous to be out in the full moon, no? * SonOfCrow notices the moon is not quite out yet Oh, but it is so beautiful in the woods at night, is it not? * Doc-6 sees Greta as well Hello Greta. * GretaSchwinner walks along, as the Doc and SonOfCrow follow along with her You must get indoors quickly, Greta. Why is that? * GretaSchwinner sniffs her edelweiss and offers a few to SonOfCrow and the Doctor The verevolf walks in the full moon, Greta! * Doc-6 mentions to SonOfCrow that they perhaps should find Jack to confirm their suspicions But, Doctor, we must make sure that Greta is safe. Yes, of course. * The_Moon creeps slowly up from the horizon. The moon is not completely up, yet - we will be safe. * ZoeHeriot and Hans meander through the forest Look, over there - I see his coat. It's very hard to miss. I think she has something planned, Hans... * ZoeHeriot strikes out after Greta * JackWho sees Greta, the Doctor and SonOfCrow * GretaSchwinner approaches the shack with the intended victims Welcome to my humble living. The moon! We must hurry. * GretaSchwinner enters the shack Son, I wouldn't be worrying about the moon, boy. Doctor, I have a story to tell. I was a traveling man when a month ago I was attacked by the wolf. I survived, but I'm damned to change every full moon, so I must kill everyone in the village and eat their heart so I can live a normal life. UGH! * JackWho transforms to Bobwerewolf The verevolf! * SonOfCrow brandishes his knife * Bobwerewolf HOWLS LOUD * Bobwerewolf jumps on the boy and knocks the Doctor to the ground * GretaSchwinner creeps around the edge of the shack, behind some bushes, to look in the window There she comes. Let's talk to her. * ZoeHeriot marches up to Greta What are you doing with that flower? * GretaSchwinner turns, quickly, accidentally knocking Zoe on the arm Why did you give it to - ouch! Flower? You don't like the Edelweiss? * GretaSchwinner sniffs innocently. I like it well enough, but I'm not sure I like what you're doing with it! * ZoeHeriot looks around for Hans <_Hans> Zoe! Where are you?!? * _Hans stumbles around in the dark * GretaSchwinner sniffs again Why should I not sniff the flower? Sniff it all you like, but I want to know why you gave it to the Doctor! What's going on in there, anyway? * GretaSchwinner hands a few to Zoe Does he not like the Edelweiss, too? * ZoeHeriot does not take the edelweiss, but moves to the door instead * GretaSchwinner grabs at Zoe, not wanting her to interfere with the werewolf and his dinner Let go of me! I will NOT. * GretaSchwinner yanks at Zoe's sleeve * ZoeHeriot yanks her arm out of Greta's grasp * GretaSchwinner grabs again ***** Fiend! I have the silver dagger! * Bobwerewolf knocks the dagger away * SonOfCrow scrambles for his dagger * Bobwerewolf raises his claw to kill the boy * Bobwerewolf licks his nose * Doc-6 knocks Bobwerewolf off SonOfCrow and searches through his pockets * Bobwerewolf looks evilly at the Doctor * Doc-6 grabs the neutron ram and hits Bobwerewolf with it * Bobwerewolf falls to the ground and jumps out the window behind the house * SonOfCrow grabs the silver dagger * Bobwerewolf then rams the wall and knocks SonOfCrow out * SonOfCrow is dazed ***** * GretaSchwinner holds Zoe by both arms Let go of me this instant. * ZoeHeriot sweeps Greta's feet out from under her * GretaSchwinner bangs Zoe's head against a small tree, trying to quiet her Oof! * GretaSchwinner bangs again * ZoeHeriot punches Greta across the jaw, and is amazed that the woman hardly reacts * ZoeHeriot tries flipping Greta over her shoulder * GretaSchwinner holds Zoe by one arm while grabbing her hair with a free hand * _Hans finds Zoe and Greta cat-fighting. * _Hans blindly pushes Greta to the ground. * ZoeHeriot elbows Greta in the stomach and flips her again * GretaSchwinner pulls Zoe down with her * GretaSchwinner grabs a handful of dead leaves and tries to stuff them in Zoe's mouth * ZoeHeriot spits out the leaves Blecch! * ZoeHeriot struggles out of Greta's grasp and backs away, breathing deeply, as a sliver of moonlight hits Greta's body * GretaSchwinner shudders a bit... * GretaSchwinner begins to change... * ZoeHeriot's eyes widen * ZoeHeriot screams * Greta_The_WereWolf appears ***** DOOOCCCTTOTOTOTOTOTORRRR...DDDDDDIIIIIDIDIDIIDIDIEEEEEE! * Bobwerewolf readies to punch on the Doctor * Bobwerewolf picks the Doctor up and throws him out the front window * Doc-6 falls but gets up a lot quicker than his frame appears to be capable of * SonOfCrow wakes up AAAAAAAAH! Doctor! That was Zoe! * ZoeHeriot is thrown to the ground as Greta leaps on top of her * Greta_The_WereWolf sits on top of Zoe and pushes down on her shoulders * Greta_The_WereWolf howls * ZoeHeriot screams again * _Hans lands on top of Greta * Greta_The_WereWolf easily knocks Hans off <_Hans> oof! Hans! * Bobwerewolf notices that the boy is awake * SonOfCrow grabs his dagger and rushes out the door * Bobwerewolf charges and tears his leg off * SonOfCrow is wounded but manages to plunge the dagger in to Greta * Greta_The_WereWolf gasps * SonOfCrow passes out in pain * Bobwerewolf sees the other wolf * Bobwerewolf turns his attention to it YOOOOOUUUUU * Bobwerewolf punches on the other wolf * ZoeHeriot is rather terrified with TWO werewolves atop her * Bobwerewolf kills the other wolf and eats its heart before it dies * Greta_The_WereWolf slowly falls off of Zoe, gasping and spitting up blood YEEEESSSS IAAMAMAMAMMAMAMA FFFFFFRRFREEEEFFREEEE * Bobwerewolf changes back to Jack * ZoeHeriot stares at her blood-soaked lederhosen * Greta_The_WereWolf growls a bit, very quietly, as she dies... * Doc-6 examines SonOfCrow Doctor, am I well? * SonOfCrow mutters in delusion Kill me now, before I change... * Greta_The_WereWolf lies limp and dead on the ground * ZoeHeriot slowly stands up * JackWho sees the moon is still full * JackWho grabs the dagger * JackWho sees who the wolf was GRETA!!!! NOOOOO! * JackWho drops the dagger and cries Doctor, grant the boy his wish. I don't understand...Greta? * _Hans gets up <_Hans> Was this some sort of nightmare? Doctor, kill the boy. Understand, Doctor, tomorrow, when the moon is full, he will become a werewolf. <_Hans> Doctor, do you mind explaining what's going on? Greta was the werewolf that attacked Jack. In order to keep him from killing her, she persuaded him that she was on her side and led other victims to him. Presumably Greta was able to choose when she wanted to transform, as long as the full moon was out. And since the curse was broken for Jack, SonOfCrow will not be a Werewolf either. So Greta *was* planning something. I thought as much. * Dead_Greta_The_WereWolf will plan no more... * ZoeHeriot watches as Greta's fur-covered body fades into that of an ordinary dead human woman Wait, wait. Crow, you will be fine. You never changed and I am no longer werewolf, so you live. I...I...I won't change? No, Crow. And so ends the horrible nightmare. * SonOfCrow weeps Doctor, may I join you?
